About Mike Dickey, MPA, AT, ATC
Mike Dickey received a B.S. in Athletic Training from Central Michigan University in 2003 and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration with a Health Emphasis from Grand Valley State University in 2005. While at Grand Valley, in Grand Rapids, MI, he was a certified athletic trainer (ATC) for women’s soccer and director of the Rehabilitation Room. He also taught undergraduate athletic training classes.
His previous experience includes working with the employees of the Michigan Department of Corrections in the injury rehabilitation and fitness facility and many years of outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine physical therapy clinics. He was athletic trainer for the Harlem Globetrotters in 2009 and has also worked with college and high school athletic teams. Mike is a Crossfit level 1 coach.
Mike is Selective Functional Movement Assessment and Functional Movement Screen certified. He has also taken education courses on Mulligan joint mobilization techniques, Myofascial Decompression/ Cup Therapy, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization and Kinesiology taping.
He specializes in sports injury rehabilitation and running injuries.
